Girls on the Go

Girls on the Go

GIRLS on the GO celebrates being the best “girl” you can be by establishing a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.

A non-competitive friendly walking and running group. Lace up your favorite kicks and grab a friend for a 3 mile walk/run around the beautiful town of Kingston. Three groups will be offered: walking group, running/walking group, and running group. Choose the one that best fits your ability. Each group will have a leader.

About Girls On The Go

Dear Girls:

I started GIRLS on the GO in January, 2010 because I wanted to inspire girls of all ages to lace up their kicks and hit the streets. I feel that if I can get out and run anyone can.

I’m a 36 year old wife and mother of three small children. My life is crazy, hectic and nuts to say the least. With that being said, I feel like everyone has a story. Here’s mine: In 1982, I was walking down the street with my six year old sister Heather in my home town of Pembroke, Massachusetts selling Camp Fire Girl items when we were struck by a 17 year old underage drunk driver. As a result of that crash, Heather was killed and I suffered severe left leg and head trauma.

But, I can say that because of my loving husband Randy, our awesome children, Heather (7) Charles (CJ, 5) and Nolan (3), my unbelievable parents, Charles and Patricia Woods, and the support of my brother Brian and Randy’s sister Katie I’m a happy, healthy member of GIRLS on the GO.

Therefore, regardless of your busy schedule or athletic ability there will always be a place for YOU on the GIRLS on the GO team.

Join me today!
