Bethany Hamilton, a teenage surfer from Hawaii, lost her arm after she was attacked by a shark on her surf board. In the movie, “Soul Surfer”, which came out recently and was based on Bethany’s story, the actress who played Bethany, said this to her father when she said she still wanted to compete in a surf competition only weeks after her attack.

The drive of Bethany in the movie is very similar to her drive in real life. Bethany is an amazingly inspiring character. And after watching the movie ‘Soul Surfer’ last night, I thought it’d be an appropriate and inspiring way to start off this Monday!
